Who is Alper Tunga DOST?

I was born on June 10, 1968, in Diyarbakır. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education in İzmir. After completing my university education in the summer semester of 1992-1993 at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Istanbul Technical University (ITU), I continued my academic career by pursuing a master’s degree in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Dokuz Eylül University (DEU).

After starting my professional career with wastewater treatment plant projects, I decided to work in the water conditioning sector. Since 1998, I have been working in sales and technical service-oriented positions in the water technologies market. After about 10 years of experience at Aquazur (SUEZ) and Nalco, I joined General Electric Water & Process Technologies in August 2008.

Between 2008 and 2011, I first served as an Account Manager in my region and then as a specialist in specific water conditioning issues. From early 2011 to late March 2014, I worked as a Key Account Manager in the geothermal and mining industries with the title of Industry Leader. I have particular expertise in corrosion and scale control programs in geothermal power plants.

In 2014, I was appointed Area Manager and began my role as Country Manager for GE Water & Process Technologies Turkey.

During my tenure, I assumed responsibility for regional sales targets, P&L accountability, and team leadership duties. On February 1, 2017, I was appointed as Business Development Leader for the Mining and Geothermal Sectors in the Southern Europe region.

Following Suez’s acquisition of GE Water & Process Technologies in late 2017, I became an employee of Suez WTS. Following this merger, I was appointed as an Industry Specialist in the Power Vertical division in Europe. I supported the energy projects I was responsible for in Europe, primarily geothermal, until September 2022.

In September 2022, I ended my employment with Suez WTS and started my position at Bimaks Kimya AŞ

Even though people can’t fully evaluate themselves objectively, I can say that I’ve managed to be organized and keep my motivation high at all times. Patience and perseverance are areas open to improvement.

The career journey is long, and each passing year brings new experiences. The most important factor is adapting to change. Adaptation, change, and integration…
